Getting Started with GryffinWow

1.12 Client:

• Create an Account: Register your account.
• Download the Game Client
  • Log in 
  • Go to Account
  • Select Download
• Extract the .zip file somewhere on your computer.
• (optional) This step is not needed when you've downloaded the client from GryffinWow.
  • Open realmlist.wtf using notepad and change the contents to:
    • set realmlist gryffinwow.com
• Start Playing:
  • Open wow.exe (not launcher.exe) and log in using the account name + password you've created.
• Add-ons: Don't forget to download the recommended add-ons for an enhanced experience!

Experimental

For those using a Apple computer with Apple silicon chip you can run the classic Wow client. It won't be performant (for now) but it can work!

• Download the client as mentioned above.
• Download Wiskey.zip directly from GryffinWow or from the official website: https://getwhisky.app/
• Download winerosetta.zip (1.0.1) directly from GryffinWow or from the official: Github repository
• Install Whiskey
• Create a bottle for Windows XP
• Extract winerosetta.zip and copy these two files into the Wow 1.12.1 folder
  • winerosetta.dll
  • winerosettaldr.exe
• Go back to the Whiskey app and select run
• Choose winerosettaldr.exe to start the game, not wow.exe
